Meet Zach Pariser

I help students make sense of challenging coursework, become more confident writers, and approach exams with a clear plan. Since 2013, I have worked with students across a range of ability levels, adapting my instruction to their strengths, questions, and goals.
My classroom experience includes AP World History, AP U.S. History, Cambridge AICE International History, AICE U.S. History, AICE European History, and English language arts. I hold a Master’s in Educational Leadership and bring the perspective of a practicing teacher to every tutoring session.
A practical, personal approach
A student may know the content but struggle to explain it in an essay. Another may need help interpreting a source or understanding what a question is asking. I take time to identify the obstacle, model an approach, and give students opportunities to practice with feedback.
The goal is to build skills students can use independently—in class, in their writing, and on exam day.

We unpack command words, question requirements, and the relevant rubric or mark scheme so you know what a strong response needs.
Turn feedback into better writing
We work on claims, evidence, explanation, and structure. You practice revising your own responses while I explain why changes make them stronger.
