AICE Global Perspectives Tutoring
Online, one-to-one support for research, critical thinking, and confident writing.
Turn a broad global issue into a focused question. Learn to evaluate evidence, compare perspectives, and explain a reasoned judgment with Zach Pariser, M.Ed., an experienced AICE teacher.
Build the skills behind stronger work
Research with a clear direction
Narrow your topic, develop a manageable research question, and find relevant sources from different countries and perspectives. Learn to distinguish a genuinely global investigation from a collection of opinions.
Evaluate sources and arguments
Go beyond calling a source “reliable.” Examine the author’s expertise, evidence, purpose, and possible bias—and explain how these affect the argument. Where your class uses RAVEN, practice applying it with specific evidence.
Compare perspectives and reach a judgment
Identify where viewpoints agree and disagree. Weigh the quality of their evidence, recognize limitations, and explain why one argument is more convincing rather than simply summarizing both sides.
Organize clear academic writing
Practice focused introductions, purposeful paragraphs, evidence-based analysis, and conclusions that answer your question. Build confidence with paraphrasing, citations, and explaining your own reasoning.
Support tailored to your next task
Written exam preparation: Practice identifying claims, evaluating evidence, analyzing reasoning, and answering the question directly under timed conditions.
Essay and research skills: Work on question development, research planning, source evaluation, comparing perspectives, and organizing an argument. For assessed coursework, support follows your school’s rules and keeps the thinking and writing your own.
Presentation skills: Develop a clear line of reasoning, select supporting evidence, and practice explaining your ideas aloud.

Common questions
Can I get help if I do not have a topic yet?
Yes. We can practice narrowing a global issue, identifying competing perspectives, and developing a research plan.
Do I need a completed draft?
No. Bring the instructions and any notes, sources, practice responses, or teacher feedback you already have. We will identify a useful starting point.
Is tutoring available outside Sarasota?
Yes. Sessions are online, so students can inquire from other locations. Availability and time-zone compatibility are confirmed before booking.
Will you write or rewrite my assessed work?
You remain the author. Tutoring builds the skills to develop your own arguments and writing, within your school’s requirements for outside assistance.
